Grandparents are the best! We got a really great present form Nan and and Grandbub - stickers and easter books! We love our books! and we already used up all the stickers to make a butterfly for catie's teachers. toby had a bronchial infection (his allergies got the best of him this week). Having the books was the perfect thing to do while we waited for Toby to feel better.

Surrender!

I was just beat after a long week. But when you surrender to little people you basically become the lead guy in Gulliver's Travels. Thank goodness they didnt have rope otherwise I'd been done for!

How cute is Caitlyn in her heels! I said she couldnt go to the park barefoot.... sheesh! she DOES look good!

James got a special delivery from me today. Cupcakes from Toot Sweet Cupcakes. The delivery person took this picture and emailed it to me - I guess as an order confirmation. I CANNOT wait to try one. I mean, yeah, they were for James, but come on, a cupcake is a cupcake!

Hail Storm!

Train Museum, Fort Myers, Florida

I had both kids wear their train museum tshirts today. i thought they looked really cute wearing the same thing. toby distinguished his from catie's by adding strawberry juice all over his shoulder. (how does that happen?) and pants.

Their shirts are very educational so i hope the my kids share what they know about the train car names...

Jackson Hole Souvenirs

Hoooooooorraaaaaaaay!!!!! James got both kids TShirts from his snowboarding trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming. James had a great time and turns out to be a pretty good boarder! He wants us all to go with him next year! I can picture catie andtoby on skis, but snowboards? we'll see!

cute things i dont want to forget

toby's favorite movie right now is wizard of oz but when he says it it sounds like "Big Buz"
And he knows not to say no to us, so now he says to us "not yet!" if we tell him to stop doing something are to come.

caitlyn is starting to play pretend, inviting us to imaginary parties and handing us imaginary treats. Whenwe go to the park she says "you cant get me mommy!" and we have a routine of me chasing her up the play scape, with her escaping down the slide, then we both run AROUND the playscape and she yells out MOMMY with her arms open wide and i yell CATIE with my arms open wide and we bear hug. but they both prefer the swing to everything else. i'll push them and say "one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and for to go!" and when i finish with an underdoggie catie always yells"and beyond!" (which is Buzz Lightyears' catchphrase - to infitinty and beyond!)

and while i'm at it - james is cute too - he's back from his ski trip and is out of practice - he gave the kids POPCYCLES for a breakfast treat this morning (they were pedialite popcycles so it's like he gave them gatorade, but still!) and on the way home he stopped at CVS for a prescription and the kids walked out with chipsAhoy cookies, fritos, wheat crackers, and FLAMING HOT JALOPENA CHEETOS with lime. Toby was eating the spicey cheetos and i made a mental note that if you PURCHASE flaming hot jalopena cheetos with lime you volunteer yourself to change the flaming hot jalopena DIAPERS!
